On the day we celebrate the commemoration of the Wedding Feast at Cana, as noted in the Gospel reading, John 2:1-11, Jesus changes water into wine. This story is important because it was the first miracal sign that Jesus performed and the first time Jesus revealed his renown on Earth. The disciples now started to believe in Him when He called them and they accepted because He was different. This first miracle helped them really “see” and believe.
