AUG 9: DIVINE LITURGY – 6:00 PM.
On this day we also commemorate the Holy Apostle Mathias. According to the Acts of the Apostles, Mathias was chosen by the Apostles to replace Judas Iscariot following the his betrayal of Jesus and his subsequent death. His calling as an apostle was unique, in that he was not personally called by Jesus, who had already ascended into Heaven.
