The Gospel Reading for this Sunday is Luke 17: 12-19 – The Healing of the Ten Lepers. The story makes 2 points. First, what true faith really is and the unfaithfulness of the Jews. Second, and the most obvious, we should for all things, give thanks to God, especially when we are given great gifts.  Only one man gave thanks to God for the great gift he was given, his healing from leprosy.
