On the day after Theophany, January 7th, is the Synaxis of Saint John the Baptist. On the day immediately following a great feast, we commemorate a figure closely associated with it. In this case, we commemorate and consider the role of John the Baptist in the Feast day of Theophany and in the inauguration of the Kingdom of God and he served at the mystery of the Lord’s Baptism.
