JUNE 30, JULY 1 & 2: 6TH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST, SYNAXIS OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES (JUNE 30) & COMMEMORATION OF THE DEPOSITION OF ROBE OF THE THEOTOKOS (JULY 2)

JUNE 30: VIGIL DIVINE LITURGY – 4:00 PM; JULY 1: MATINS – 7:00 AM, DIVINE LITURGY – 10:30 PM.

This Sunday’s Gospel reading is Matthew 9: 1-8, JesusĀ  Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man. We learn that sin can cause us “spiritual paralysis” by controlling all aspects of our lives. We see how repeatedly Jesus goes out of His way to minister to sinners and then forgive and heal them. We see the power in that and how we need Jesus in our lives to help us to help us “get us off our mats.”
