MAY 21: DIVINE LITURGY – 6:00 PM.
On May 21st, St. Constantine the Great, King and Equal to the Apostles and St. Helen, his mother, are commemorated. Constantine reigned in ancient Rome and Byzantium (Constantinople) and became the first Christian Emperor, champion of the Faith and builder of many Christian Orders and is attributed for the conversion of the Roman Empire to Christianity. St. Helen, discovered the true Cross of Jesus in Jerusalem and built many Holy Christian temples and monasteries among which the most important are: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem and the Church of Nazareth.
