The Gospel reading for today is John 20:19-31, recounts the story of Christ appearing to the Apostle Thomas in order to dispel his doubt about the Resurrection. Thomas is remembered for his confession of faith: “My Lord and my God,” thus being the first to publicly proclaim the two natures of Christ: human and divine.
NOTE: The annual Parish Easter Egg hunt will be today (Thomas Sunday) after the 9am Liturgy, starting around 10:15-10:30.
Eggs will be hiddent (which have slips of paper instead of candy) in 3 areas by age – small kids playground, in the wooded area across the parking lot and in a third area tbd (to be decided). The exact locations, age cut offs and how to get treats will be communicated on Sunday before the hunt. Please bring an Easter basket, Easter bucket or a bag for your child to collect eggs.
Anyone wishing to donate non-candy items (pencils, small easter themed toys, etc.) can bring them Sunday and place them in the hall.
Laura Driscoll is the key point person, but you can also contact Heidi Cwik (heidicwiks@gmail.com) or post on the women’s group WhatsApp with questions.
