JULY 21: WELCOME TO FATHER VASYL SOKOLOVYCH AND HIS FAMILY, OUR NEW PARISH PRIEST

We have exciting news! We would like to welcome to our Parish family our new Parish Priest, Father Vasyl Sokolovych, and his family. They will be arriving on Tuesday, July 21st, to their new home.

Father Vasyl was born in 1976 in the town of Yasinya, Ukraine, where he attended school. In 1994 he entered the seminary and graduated in 2000.  In July, 2000 he was ordained a priest.

Father Vasyl served in three parishes before moving to the United States. His wife, Pani Olena, worked as a school teacher in Ukraine.  They have three children. The eldest daughter, Solomiya, lives in Ukraine, is 20 years old, and a student at a medical university. The second child,  Vasyl, is 18 years old and graduated from Neshaminy High School this year.   The youngest son, Andriy, is 12 and finished 6th grade at Neshaminy Middle School.  They have been living in Levittown, PA, for about two years, where Father Vasyl was Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church.
